Ohio man who sought kidney via message on SUV gets donor

The former college president and professor from the Columbus suburb of Bexley made the news last May when his daughter, Shana, used yellow tape to write a message on his silver-blue SUV that read: “Got kidney? I need 1. PLEASE call or text.”

Lawyer: Smith held no gun as he was shot in the back

Former Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot multiple times in the back after his killer deliberately rammed his Hummer into the NFL veteran’s Mercedes SUV, but Smith never pulled out his own handgun as he tried to protect his wife, the Smith family’s lawyer said Wednesday.
