Home and Garden Show returns to Memorial Coliseum

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – One of Fort Wayne’s post popular events starts today and runs through Sunday.

The 41st annual Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

Over 650 exhibitors are ready to show off a range of home products, including: landscaping and design, home remodeling, custom-built homes, décor, and much more.

The show bills fun for the whole family, including a family area and kid’s activity center. A jungle theme has been incorporated into activities and events for children and adults.

Author Joey Green, better known as “The Guru of Wacky Uses for Brand-Name Products,” is one of the many featured guests for the event. Green has authored approximately 50 books and will give unique presentations with comedy to provide laughs and learning about home remedies and how to use products around your house in ways you never thought imaginable.

Grilling experts Mad Dog and Merrill return to the Home and Garden Show for 2014. Both have made several stops at the Fort Wayne show through the years and return for the first time since 2012.

Other attractions and organizations scheduled to appear are Indiana Wild, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoomobile, All-Star Martial Arts, Science Central, Bisque It Pottery, Alex Babich the Mushroom Hunter and more.

The Home and Garden Show runs Feb. 27 to Mar. 2. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors over 62, and children under 15-years-old are free. Parking at the Coliseum is $5.

Hours for the show run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
