SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A man was arrested over the weekend after what police say was one of the biggest methamphetamine busts in Shelby County history.

Late Saturday night, authorities served a narcotics warrant in the 1100 block of State Street. After searching the home, the Shelby County Drug Task Force seized one pound of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, $3,000 in cash and an SUV. It’s estimated that the street value for the methamphetamine is around $45,000 to $50,000.

Officials said the search of the home yielded the biggest methamphetamine seizure in years and possibly the biggest in county history.

Jason Baxter was arrested at the scene. Baxter was arrested on three Class A felony charges–dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and corrupt business influence.
