VAN WERT, Ohio (WANE) The Van Wert Police Department is investigating a case involving a female who was apparently abducted and assaulted before being able to get away from her captors.
So far not many details are being released, however the Van Wert Police Department Dispatch Center received a call about an abduction and assault at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday. The incident reportedly took place at a home located at 412 1/2 S. Washington St. The victim told police she had been held captive for more than 24 hours before she was able to get away.
At 10:46 a.m. police served a search warrant at that address and found evidence that led to the arrests of Elmeco R. Crisp, 38, of Lima and James D. Wilson, 57, who lived at the home.
Crisp was taken into custody for felonious assault and abduction while Wilson was taken into custody for felonious assault.
The incident is still under investigation.
