WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Nine one-pot meth labs were found when police served warrants at three homes in the Miami Village Mobile Home Park on Old Trail Road in Whitely County on Wednesday.
The bust was the result of a three-month-long investigation into illegal drug activity.
Police found four suspects and arrested and charged three of them for dealing in methamphetamine by manufacturing. Gary D. Hicks, Willie F. Jensen and Tyler E. Yoder also face other drug-related charges among them including possession of meth, possession of two or more chemical gannets with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Two more suspects were not home at the time of the bust and will probably have warrants issued for their arrest for dealing methamphetamine. Another suspect may be arrested for providing materials for making the drugs.
The Whitley County Drug Task Force, the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, the Columbia City Police Department and the Indiana State Police were all involved in Wednesday’s bust.
