TOTW: Bishop Dwenger Boys Golf

Bishop Dwenger’s streak of three straight sectional titles in boys golf was snapped this season. The Saints made up for it winning the school’s first ever regoinal title. We are proud to honor the Bishop Dwenger boys golf team as your Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network “Team of the Week.”

TOTW: Heritage Baseball

The Heritage baseball team’s run through the state tournament has not been short on the dramatics. The Patriots won their sectional title with an 8-1 win over Bellmont. Branson Doseen hit three homeruns that game, landing him on ESPN and pitcher, Andrew Saalfrank had 16 strikeouts. Their dominance continued in the regional finals. Saalfrank was back on the mound throwing a no-hitter in Heritage’s 5-2 win over Bishop Dwenger in the regional final.

TOTW: Columbia City Golf Team

For the first time since 1992 the Columbia City golf team is the best in the NHC. The Eagles edged out Homestead by three strokes to win the NHC Conference title on May 24th.

TOTW: DeKalb Softball

Perfection and persistence describe the 2015 DeKalb softball season. For the first time since 2004, the Lady Barons won the Northeast Hoosier Conference title outright with a 7-0 conference record. We are proud to recognize the DeKalb softball team as our Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network “Team of the Week.”

TOTW: South Adams Girls Track Team

In a group of Goliaths at the ACAC Track and Field Championship, the South Adams girls track team rose to the top of the podium to claim the conference title for the first time since 2009.

TOTW: Northrop Boys and Girls Track Team

The Northrop Bruins are the fastest team in the SAC. For the second time since 2010, the Northrop track team’s swept the SAC Meet on Friday, taking home both the girls and boys titles. For that, we are proud to recognize the Bruins as your Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network Team of the Week.

TOTW: Churubusco Baseball Team

The Churubusco Baseball team won their program’s fourth NECC Tournament Championship on Saturday with a 14-9 win over West Noble. The victory also marked a milestone for head coach Mark Grove who now has 500 wins.
