In a group of Goliaths at the ACAC Track and Field Championship, the South Adams girls track team rose to the top of the podium to claim the conference title for the first time since 2009.
The Northrop Bruins are the fastest team in the SAC. For the second time since 2010, the Northrop track team’s swept the SAC Meet on Friday, taking home both the girls and boys titles. The Churubusco Baseball team won their program’s fourth NECC Tournament Championship on Saturday with a 14-9 win over West Noble. The victory also marked a milestone for head coach Mark Grove who now has 500 wins.

The 2015 Bishop Dwenger rifle team took home three state titles at the 2015 Indiana State Rifle and Pistol Association championship in March . The Saints placed first in .22 Rifle, International Air, and Three Position Precision Air, and came in third place in Sporter Air. The Homestead Spartans made history on March 28th capturing the program’s first ever state title with a 91-90 OT win over Evansville-Reitz. We are proud to honor the Spartans as our “Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network” Team of the Week.
The Wayne Trace Cheerleaders spent their spring break in Florida, competing in the AmeriCheer InterNationals competition. After two days of competition the Raiders claimed the national title in the Small Group Varsity Non-Mount Traditional Division on Sunday March 22nd.
On Saturday, March 14th, the Summit City Panthers met with in-city rivals the Fort Wayne Bruins at the Indianapolis Coliseum in the 1A State Championship. There, they blanked the Bruins, scored two goals, and won their program’s tenth state championship.
Five weeks ago, the Bishop Dwenger Saints were 5-13, and in the midst of a five game losing streak. Rather than backing down the Saints marched on, winning their second consecutive regional championship Saturday night.
