With Roof as his own lawyer, sentencing begins in slayings

While prosecutors plan to call up to 38 people related to the nine people killed and three who survived the June 2015 slaughter during Bible study, Roof said last week he plans on calling no witnesses and presenting no evidence.

Police responded to a shooting at Drexel Avenue and Adams Street where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to serious condition.

Amber Pasztor’s trial postponed to account for psychiatric evaluations
