Good time to replace those weather radio batteries

Welcome to Daylight Saving Time! Oftentimes, you’ll hear us remind you to change those smoke detector batteries when we ‘fall back’ and ‘spring forward.’ It’s also important to change out the batteries of you weather radios to make sure they’re in tip-top shape for severe weather season. Even though Midland weather radios and most other makes/models have an AC adapter for power, these batteries are your battery back-up and are important in case you lose power. At our spring weather radio programming days (dates to be announced soon), we often see people who bring radios in that have been damaged by corroded batteries. Be sure to keep these batteries changed and fresh so that doesn’t happen to yours!
