Lake effect snow showers will be possible through this evening, with some light accumulations north of Fort Wayne. 1″ or less will be possible north of Allen County, but especially closer to Lake Michigan.
If you’re a snow-lover, fear not, we’ve still got a good chance at an even higher accumulation of snow by the beginning of the weekend!
A fast-moving clipper system will bring an increase in cloud cover late in the day on Friday, followed by snow showers Friday night into the day on Saturday. Some snow will likely be on the ground as we start the day Saturday. Forecast models continue to indicate that this storm would have enough moisture with it to allow for light accumulations of 1″-2″ in Fort Wayne and places south and east through Saturday evening. Some heavier accumulations of 2″-3″ will be possible north and west of Fort Wayne. You’ll want to watch out for some slick spots if you’ll be traveling on Saturday! Snow showers will come to an end by Saturday evening, but we could see more light accumulating snow for the beginning of the work week on Monday.
