"Irma" continues to be the most powerful hurricane ever measured in the Atlantic with 180 mph sustained winds.

We continue to watch Hurricane Irma as an intensely powerful storm, with sustained winds of 180 mph which are still making it the strongest hurricane ever measured in Atlantic ocean storm history.

Here’s the latest from the NHC:

A Hurricane Warning is in effect for…
* The Dominican Republic from Cabo Engano to the northern border with
Haiti
* Haiti from the northern border with the Dominican Republic to Le
Mole St. Nicholas
* Southeastern Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands
* Central Bahamas

The NHC ‘favored’ track is still taking Irma toward Miami Beach with a direct hit possible by late this weekend. It could also ravage the east coast of Florida through the beginning of next week.
