Ramon Burgos set new career highs in both kills and total blocks, nabbing his second career double-double in 15th-ranked (American Volleyball Coaches Association) IPFW men’s volleyball team earned a come from behind five set win at Grand Canyon on Saturday night. The Mastodons went 23-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23, 18-16 to improve to finish the regular season 18-11, 8-8 (MIVA) while the Antelopes fell to 14-16, 5-11 (MIVA).

WLAX: Indiana Tech Falls In WHAC Championship

The fourth-ranked Indiana Tech women’s lacrosse team had five players named to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Conference team, three first team selections and a pair of honorable mention honorees. Tech also led all institutions with six All-Academic team members. The Warriors lost the WHAC championship game however, falling to No. 2 Davenport, 11-5 on Saturday at the DU Turf Field.

Soft: IPFW Blanked In Doubleheader

It was a tough day for the IPFW softball team as it went up against the national leader in strikeouts from North Dakota State. The Mastodons dropped both games of the doubleheader to the Bison by scores of 18-0 and 10-0. The series finale between the two teams has been moved up due to rain in the forecast and will now be at 10:30 a.m.
