FBI searches Phoenix home in Texas prophet contest shooting

Police shot and killed two gunmen who opened fire on a security officer outside a suburban Dallas venue hosting a provocative contest for Prophet Muhammad cartoons, and a bomb squad searched the gunmen’s vehicle as a precaution, authorities said.

Things to know about the situation in Baltimore

The state of emergency is expected to remain in effect over the next two days while the Maryland National Guard continues to draw down about 3,000 troops brought in to keep the peace.
