Local bird rehab group needs to expand

More than 100 local volunteers are dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and releasing some of the most majestic birds in the Midwest. But with more birds needing help every year, Soarin’ Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation Center desperately needs to expand.

Bodies in double fatal crash can’t be visually identified

The coroner’s office said the bodies had significant thermal damage and fingerprints will have to determine the identities. Police are searching for the driver of one of the vehicles involved and witnesses say he fled after the three car crash late Monday evening in Fort Wayne.

The woman entered the Salin Bank located at 9835 Lima Road early Tuesday afternoon and demanded cash. Police caught up with a woman matching her description a short time later.

Wal-Mart keeps working to make inroads against Amazon

Wal-Mart is now offering free two-day shipping on online orders of its most popular items with a minimum purchase order of $35. Amazon quietly posted on its website that it was dropping threshold for free shipping for non-Prime members to $35 from $50.
