‘Suspicious’ toolbox closes downtown block

Police were called sometime before noon to the block of Jefferson Boulevard near the Embassy Theatre and the Grand Wayne Convention Center after a caller reported that a toolbox had been on the sidewalk for a couple of hours.

Officials: No apparent survivors in Texas balloon crash

Authorities would not confirm the exact number of deaths, but Lynn Lunsford with the Federal Aviation Administration said the balloon was carrying at least 16 people and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that it didn’t look like anyone survived.

FBI: Woman robbed Wyoming bank to return to prison

A woman who was recently released from prison in Oregon robbed a bank in Wyoming only to throw the cash up in the air outside the building and sit down to wait for police, authorities said Friday.
