Much more comfortable on Thursday

By late night, the sky clears and lower humidity air arrives, beginning a multi-day stretch of dry and comfortable days that will take us into the weekend.

Mayor Henry thanked residents and City staff and then turned on a fire hydrant to start the flow of City Water.  This connection, the largest connection phase since City Utilities took ownership of the old Aqua southwest territory, includes 35 neighborhoods and more than 4,000 customers.

The connection brought more than 9,000 customers city water within a southwest area bordered by Aboite Center Road to the south, Homestead and Scott roads to the west, Bass Road to the north and Interstate 69 and Hadley Road to the east.

Traffic stop leads to possible heroin bust

Police found a bag containing suspected heroin and a syringe inside the car of a woman who had been for a traffic violation in Celina, Ohio on Tuesday. The woman’s four-year-old son was also in the car.

Michigan City cop charged with multiple felonies

A 12-year veteran of the Michigan City Police Department was arrested Tuesday following an investigation that determined he was in possession of prescription drugs that hadn’t been prescribed to him.
