GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A crash in the southbound lanes of I-69 in Grant County closed the interstate for several hours Saturday.

ISP said a semi traveling south near the 268 mile marker was traveling over a bridge when it slid sideways. The semi was pulling a double trailer that overturned onto the driver’s side.

The driver, Corneliu Costecu, 68, Urbana, Ill., suffered a cut to his head but did not require medical attention.

The interstate was back open around 3:30 p.m.

ISP said alcohol and drugs and not suspected in the crash and its unclear if road conditions were icy in the area at the time.
