North Side bests Blackhawk to headline Tuesday night prep hoops

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Only a cut on the lip in the first quarter could slow down Keion Brooks Jr. and the Legends as 4A no. 2 North Side bested 1A no. 4 Blackhawk Christian 67-41 at By Hey Arena to headline a night that saw New Haven top Northrop 94-77 while the 4A no. 5 Homestead girls survived a battle with Jay County.

Brooks tallied 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Legends while Austin Boucher added 14. Freshman big man Caleb Furst led Blackhawk with 14 points.
