Car crash to blame for Monroeville power outage

MONROEVILLE, Ind. (WANE)  Several hundred Indiana Michigan Power customers were left without electricity Wednesday afternoon after a car hit a utility pole according to a spokesperson for I&M.

Originally some 680 customers were without power and that number dropped in half a short time later.  I&M had to replace the entire pole and everything is expected to be back to normal by 10 p.m.

No information was available regarding circumstances surrounding the crash.
