Police looking for 2 suspects after man shot, critically hurt

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne police are looking for two after a shooting on Turtle Creek Drive Tuesday evening,

Police were called to the 5800 block of Turtle Creek Drive around 8 p.m.

FWPD Spokesman Officer Chris Felton said police found a man who appeared to have been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Felton said investigators believe some type of disturbance led to a shooting. Police said the victim was sitting in a car when he was shot. Felton said witnesses told police two suspects ran from the area on foot. 

A K-9 officer attempted to track the suspects, but was unsuccessful, according to Felton.

Detailed suspect information was not available.

Detectives attempted to locate additional witnesses and spoke with neighbors in the area. Crime scene technicians gathered evidence and took photographs of the area.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The shooting is under investigation.
