WOODBURN, Ind. (WANE) Fire crews are in the process of putting out hotspots following multiple explosions and a fire at an auto repair business in Woodburn.  Multiple fire departments have been dispatched to the scene.

The explosions and fire were reported at approximately 1:45 p.m. at Klopfenstein Repair, located at 19718 Notestine Road. Fire officials told a NewsChannel 15 videographer at the scene that  10 or so fire departments, some of them volunteer, were dispatched to the fire.  A person who lives near the scene told NewsChannel 15 she felt the explosion and it was very loud. Thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the location from miles away.

Everyone was out of the building on the property when crews arrived to find vehicles and the structure housing the repair business on fire.  The building is considered a total loss.  Fire crews used a nearby retention pond to get water to help put out the flames.

The cause has not been yet determined.
