Man critically hurt in Kenwood Ave. shooting

Police Dispatch said the victim walked into the hospital. The incident is under investigation.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition. That man walked into a local hospital around 6:20 Tuesday night and told staff he’d been shot in the 2500 block of Kenwood Avenue.

Police haven’t said if they have arrested a suspect or suspects.

When officers got to that location they found evidence that a shooting had taken place there. Detectives have been interviewing potential witnesses in the neighborhood who were outside at the time of the shooting. The person who drove the victim to the hospital is cooperative and is being interviewed by detectives.

This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
