Kroger presents $126,000 in donations to charities

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Kroger Marketplace store on Dupont Road hosted an event with City of Fort Wayne leaders to present donations to several area and regional charities and causes. A total of $126,000 in donation checks were presented Friday morning.

According to a press release from Kroger, the donations represent proceeds raised through the year’s Fight Cancer Day efforts throughout the month of October, as well as several other recent community support initiatives.

The Kroger Co. was named one of the most generous company in America in a Chronicle of Philanthropy listing detailed in Forbes Magazine for the 2016 year.
