DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A 16-year-old DeKalb County driver was cited for going too fast for the weather conditions after he lost control of his Chevy Trailblazer early Friday morning.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, Nathan MaHaffey of Ashley was southbound on CR 27 when he slowed down to turn onto CR 6. He slid through the turn, causing the SUV to overturn at least once before it came to rest on its top on the south side of the intersection.
There were three passengers in the vehicle and one was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of back and neck pain. He was later released. MaHaffey suffered a minor cut to the forehead. No one else was injured and all occupants were wearing seatbelts.
