DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Four adults, and one two-month-old baby were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash Friday evening.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the CR 35 and CR 72 at 6:20 p.m. at the Allen-DeKalb County line on report of the crash. When officers arrived it was determined that a maroon 1991 Toyota Camry was facing eastbound of CR 72 when, after the entering the intersection at CR 35, the car was struck by a southbound white 2106 Nissan Versa, according to a press release from DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.
All occupants of both vehicles were taken to a hospital by ambulance. The driver of the Camry suffered fractures on her pelvis. The front seat passenger of the vehicle suffered head contusions and a two-month-old in the vehicle suffered a laceration to the head. The driver and a passenger in the Nissan both complained of chest pain and seat belt burn, according to the press release.
Jackson Township Fire Department, DeKalb EMS, and Allen Northeast EMS assisted on the scene.
