Teenager taken to hospital after fatal horse and buggy crash has died

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – The person rushed to the hospital after the fatal crash involving a horse and buggy that killed two teenage girls has died. The crash happened at the intersection of Notestine Road and SR 37 on the evening of November 20.

According to the Allen County Coroner’s Office, John Graber, 19, was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital where he died of injuries from in the crash early in the morning on Saturday, November 26. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle crash, the manner of which was an accident.

The crash also killed Rebecca Graber, 18 and Michelle Graber, 16, who were pronounced dead on the scene.

It remains unclear how Rebecca, Michelle and John are related.

Allen County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Captain Steve Stone had said a pickup truck involved in the crash remained at the scene, but the driver has yet not been located. The license plate on the pickup truck was determined to be “false and fictitious,” as they came back registered to another vehicle.

Stone said Fort Wayne and New Haven police officers are looking for the person connected to the crash.
