FWPD respond to reported armed robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A frequent target for armed robberies was hit again late Sunday night.

 

Officers were called to the Crescent’s Corner Marathon, 1202 East State Boulevard, around 11 p.m. Sunday after the incident.

Police at the scene told NewsChannel 15 a man walked into the store, put a bag on the counter, demanded cash and walked out.

The suspect was described as a white man, wearing a blue sweatshirt with the hood up and a bandanna over his face.

Officers drove around the area and brought a K-9 officer in to track the suspect. He was not found.

Police also said the store has been robbed several times in the last couple of weeks. NewsChannel 15 has been on the scene of several similar incidents throughout 2016.
