ESPN and Yahoo! Sports are reporting that Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly, through his representatives, is exploring options to possibly leave the football program.

The reports cite sources as providing that information, saying that Kelly’s representatives have had contact with other universities.

This news comes after Notre Dame’s loss Saturday night to USC and their ugly 2016 4-8 record.

Brian Kelly issued a statement early Sunday morning through the director of football media relations at the University of Notre Dame saying he is not interested in options outside Notre Dame that and he is “fully committed to leading this program in the future.”

WSBT 22 has contacted the football media relations director for further comment and information. We have not heard back yet.
