Komets defeat K-Wings on emotional Thanksgiving night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) –  Bob Chase was certainly smiling down on the Coliseum Thursday night as the Komets defeated Kalamazoo 6-1 to gain two points in the Central Division.

Chase’s memory was very much alive at the Coliseum with the team airing a pre-game memorial video and lighting up his retired number 40 in the rafters.

Kyle Thomas scored two goals in the win. Shawn Szydlowski, Mason Baptista, Gabriel Desjardins, and Mike Cazzola also lit the lamp for the Komets.
