FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Girls basketball teams returned to action on Black Friday with games all across Northeast Indiana.
Homestead improved to 3-0 with a dominant 92-37 win over Huntington North. Karissa McLauglin led all scorers with 27 points. Madisen Parker recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists. Jazyme Geist also scored 16 points in the win and Teryn Kline reached double digits with 11 points, nine coming from three pointers. Karmen Koch led Huntington North with 11 points.
Whitko edged Warsaw in a 40-37 win. Aly Reiff and Hannah Yohe each had 11 points for the Wildcats in the close win. Brianna Cumberland also reached double digits with 10 points. Warsaw’s Page Desenberg led all scorers with 16 points in the losing effort for Warsaw
Columbia City cruised by Bishop Luers 62-48. Bella Krieg had a huge night for the Eagles with 24 points. She was one of three Eagles in double digits as Chelsea Pettigrew scored 15 and Morgan Bales had 13. Freshman Lydia Reimbold led Luers with 16 points
Northrop picked up its second win of the season with a 76-44 win over DeKalb. Niomi Duble led the Bruins with 18 with Arielle Thatcher followed with 17 points.
