Victim of fatal car crash identified as Fort Wayne teen

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  The person killed in a Tuesday afternoon car crash on East Washington Boulevard has been identified by the Allen County Coroner’s Office as a Fort Wayne teen. Peytin India Chamble, 17, died of blunt force trauma suffered in the crash.  Her death has been ruled an accident.

NewsChannel 15 has confirmed that Chamble was a senior at Snider High School and was a member of the girls basketball team.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, Chamble was driving east in the 3000 block of East Washington Boulevard when for an unknown reason she lost control of her car causing it to flip.  The car ended up on its top in the parking lot of Crown Battery Systems.  Chamble was found pinned underneath the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is the 34th traffic fatality in Allen County this year.
