Here’s what you need to know as you head to the Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball game with the Fort Wayne Mastodons at the Memorial Coliseum.
WHEN: The doors of the Memorial Coliseum arena are scheduled to open at 7:30 p.m. The game tips off at 9 p.m.
DETAILS: The Memorial Coliseum said the game will have the highest attendance of any basketball event in the 65-year history of the Coliseum, with more fans than the 2004 postseason men’s NIT game between Notre Dame and St. Louis.
TICKETS: There are no tickets available from the venue. The event is sold out.
TRAFFIC: Traffic on northbound I-69 and near the Memorial Coliseum, on U.S. 930 (Coliseum Boulevard), Clinton Avenue, Coldwater Road, Spy Run Avenue and Spy Run Avenue Extended is expected to be heavy from 7-9 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early with the heavy traffic expected.
PARKING: Entrance to the parking lots should be from Coliseum Boulevard (Entrance #1) or Parnell Avenue (Entrance #2). See Parking Lot Master Plan for entrance information. Parking is $5 per car in the main lot ($8 in the preferred lot) or $15 for bus/RV/limos. Parking booths accept cash only. SECURITY: Guests will go through a security screening before entering the Arena and are encouraged to leave large bags, backpacks and purses at home. Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited.
FOOD: All concession stands will be open when doors to the Arena open at 7:30 p.m. The Rooftop Lounge (ages 21 and up) at the Memorial Coliseum will open at 6 p.m. with their full menu available and ESPN Radio 1380AM/106.7FM and Big 92.3FM hosting the pre-game party.
