Mad Ants to give away rings to first 1000 fans on opening night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants is celebrating their home opening game Sunday, November 20 vs. Sioux Falls Skyforce from South Dakota. The first 1000 fans at the game will receive a 10th-anniversary replica ring.

This year, as the team celebrates their 10th-anniversary, Pacer’s player Rakeem Christmas has re-joined the team as a full-time player.

However, Mad Ants has more to offer than just basketball. They have what President Tim Bawmann calls “Antertainment,” consisting of a drum line that greets everyone as they enter, a dance team, a kids zone with a bouncy house and fish pond, alone with face-painters, balloon artists, people walking on stilts and much more.

Bawmann moved from Illinois to Fort Wayne and was named the president of the Mad Ants in May. He had served as President and General Manager of the Boston Red Sox Class A affiliate Lowell Spinners since 2003.

The game starts at 5 p.m. at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
