FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A Fort Wayne tradition continues this year. Franke Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with 91 life-size, animated light displays depicting holiday scenes with animals, elves, snowmen, Santa Claus, toys, and nativity figures.
The 1.5-mile drive-through route typically sees 50,000 people annually. Proceeds for the event support disadvantaged people within the community looking for employment through Blue Jacket, a Fort Wayne non-profit that helps people who have employment barriers.
Tony Hudson, Executive Director of Blue Jacket says that this year they have added 6 new displays to the event.
The event begins on November 22, and ends on December 31. The festival is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Every car costs 5 dollars Sunday through Thursday, and 10 dollars Friday and Saturday.
