FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police are investigating an arson at a Fort Wayne car dealership, after someone set a truck on fire. The staff shared the security camera video in hopes to catch the person responsible.

When the staff got to Marquez Auto Sales this morning, they found the damage. It was the first they heard of anything happening. After some calls and a check of the video, they put it together.

Around 12:30 a.m., a man walked around the area, looked for his chance before he set the truck and ran across the street. 10 minutes later, he went back to the scene before driving off.

The staff have an idea of who it might be responsible, but are surprised the incident went unnoticed by neighbors and police.

“It feels really disappointing because lately we’ve been attacking one another,” Salesperson Victoria Garcia said.

“We as a community, as a whole, haven’t really been helping. Something like this isn’t going to stop us from doing anything, if anything, it’s going to motivate us to put a closer eye out on our lot, and help our community do better.”
