Man in critical condition after shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting Friday evening.

The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) was dispatched to a home in the 1300 block of Fay Drive at 8:50 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a press release from FWPD.

Paramedics provided medical treatment to the victim before he was transported to a nearby hospital.

Investigators believe that someone fired a gunshot from outside into the home and are speaking with possible witness to obtain additional information, according to the press release.

There have been no arrests made at this time and there is no suspect information.
