Concordia gears up for semi-state battle with Garrett

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Starting the season 1-2 not many people picked Concordia to have a deep postseason run this season. But the Cadets have marched on winning 10 straight to put themselves in the position to play in their first ever state championship.

(11-2) Concordia will head to (12-1) Garrett for the semi-state championship on Friday. It will be the 7th ranked Cadets first semi-state game since 2007.

Concordia comes into the game after crushing West Lafayette 62-27. Garrett won their regional title on a last minute field goal over second ranked Mishawaka Marian to defeat the Knights 31-27.
