INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Several hundred Indianapolis area jobs are heading to Mexico now that industrial company, Rexnord is closing.
According to United Steel Workers 1999 President Don Ziering, the move was made official Monday.
The move will send approximately 350 jobs south of the border.
Back in October, workers were told of a “tentative decision” to move the manufacturing jobs from its Indianapolis operation to Monterrey, Mexico.
Another meeting is scheduled Tuesday to discuss several topics including the transition process and severance.
