FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Players from the Fort Wayne Komets team will visit Barnes & Noble, Glenbrook to read books to children.
The event will be held on Saturday, November 19 beginning at 1 p.m.
Komet’s players regularly do “read-a-thon’s” and read to children at area schools. That is how Community Business Development Manager of Barnes & Noble, Deanna Arnold thought about bringing the Komets to the store.
A portion of sales from the day will go to Kate’s Kart, a Fort Wayne charity. Kate’s Kart is a non-profit organization that supplies brand new, free books to hospitalized children to keep. Patrons can donate books to the organization as part of Barnes & Noble’s holiday book drive.
