WOODBURN, Ind. (WANE) – A 23-year-old Woodburn man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in northeast Allen County Saturday night.

Emergency workers were called around 10:30 p.m. for a reported crash near Notestine Road and Bull Rapids Road. The crash was eventually located in the 20000 block of Notestine Road near Rupert Road in the area of Harlan and Cuba.

Emergency dispatchers said one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the victim as 23-year-old Ryan Marotz of Woodburn. He died of blunt force trauma, the office said.

Allen County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Stone said Monday that Marotz’s pickup truck left the roadway and rolled “several times.” Stone did not know what forced the truck off the roadway.

Stone said two males were in the pickup – a 20-year-old passenger and the driver, Marotz. Stone did not know what injuries the passenger suffered.

Stone could not provide any other information.
