DNR recovers body of hunter who may have drowned

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  The body of a LaGrange County man who may have drowned while hunting Thursday morning has been found by Indiana Conservation Officers.

Shannon M. Bostwick, 24, was waterfowl hunting on Waldron Lake in Noble County when his canoe flipped over and capsized according to a news release issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement District 2.

It’s not known why Bostwick’s canoe flipped and his body was recovered Friday afternoon.  An autopsy will determine the exact cause of Bostwick’s death.

The Noble County Sheriff’s Department, the Orange Township Fire Department, Parkview Noble EMS, the Noble County Coroner’s Office, the Fremont Fire Department and the Angola Fire Department also took part in the search and recovery effort.
