Five Carroll standouts sign to play college sports

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Rachel Klitzing (volleyball/Butler), Kassie Till (volleyball/West Alabama), Noah Fleming (soccer/Huntington), Nicole Fosnough (soccer/Bethel), and Becca Villanueva (basketball/Lake Superior State) signed to play college sports Thursday afternoon at Carroll High School.

Klitzing helped the Carroll varsity team to a 116-27 record during her four seasons. She racked up 771 career kills and 346 total blocks.

Till says she looked at playing for Miami of Ohio and Ferris State but thought a smaller school like West Alabama provided the best fit.

Fleming helped Carroll go 24-9-5 over the last two seasons. His career total of 36 goals ranks seventh in CHS history. Fleming led the Chargers with 19 goals as a senior and with 17 as a junior.

Fosnough says she picked Bethel in part because of the atmosphere of the campus.

The 5-foot-10 Villanueva helped the Chargers go 13-9 last season.
