Defending state champ Snider to face no. 6 Mishawaka at regionals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – 5A no. 1 Snider (11-0) will host 5A no. 6 Mishawaka (10-2) Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Spuller Stadium with the regional championship on the line.

The Panthers are coming off a 56-16 win at 5A no. 11 Goshen in the sectional championship game in which the Panthers outscored the Red Hawks 28-0 in the second half. Money Woods ran 13 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns while Christian Covington added seven carries for 153 yards and two scores. Penn State recruit Mac Hippenhammer add a 97-yard kickoff return for a score while also scoring a rushing and receiving touchdown.

Mishawaka is coming off an 18-7 win over 5A no. 12 Michigan City. The Cavemen were led by Austin Faulkner with 31 carries for 170 yards and a receiving touchdown while quarterback Ryan Wroblewski rushed 14 times for 86 yards and a score. The Cavemen start five seniors along the offensive line.
