FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Robyn Niedzwiecki confirmed Monday that the case involving the death of Frank Macomber is now in their hands. Macomber, 66, was found dead in late September on the 6600 block of Wallen Road. According to the Allen County Coroner’s Office, he was shot to death. His death was ruled a homicide.
Macomber was somehow connected to Amber Pasztor, who is currently facing murder charges for the deaths of two of her children following their abduction. Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards had said at a news conference in September that authorities were unsure at the time of the relationship between Macomber and Pasztor.
In an exclusive interview with NewsChannel 15, Pasztor admitted to killing Macomber and her children Rene Pasztor, 6, and Liliana Hernandez, 7.
Pasztor is currently housed in the Elkhart County Jail. The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office will determine whether or not Pasztor will be charged in connection to Macomber’s death.
The prosector’s office did not indicate what charges they would pursue against Pasztor. It’s also unclear if they would extradite Pasztor to face those charges before or after her trial involving the death of her children.
