Hartzell records shutout as Komets blank Fuel

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Eric Hartzell racked up 31 saves to lead the Komets to a 4-0 win over Midwest Division rival Indy on Friday night at War Memorial Coliseum.

Garrett Thompson scored his fourth goal of the season in the first quarter to give Fort Wayne a 1-0 lead.

Gabriel Beaupre, Trevor Cheek, and Shawn Szydlowski each tallied a marker in the third frame to set the final at 4-0.

The Komets are off Saturday but play at Brampton at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
