Gas station robbed third time in 2 months

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A Fort Wayne gas station was the site of an armed robbery for the third time in 2 months early Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to Crescent’s Corner Express at the intersection of E. State Blvd. and Crescent Ave. around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

According to police at the scene, a man with a mask went into the store, showed a hand gun and took off with cash.

A K-9 officer was brought in to track down the suspect, but the search came up empty.

Police have been called to armed robberies at the business several times this year, including early Saturday morning and the night of September 5.

The most recent incident is under investigation.
