Familiar faces Watford, Zeisloft in camp as Mad Ants open 10th season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Former I.U. standouts Christian Watford and Nick Zeisloft are among the 15 players battling for a spot on Fort Wayne’s final roster as the Mad Ants opened training camp on Tuesday.

Zeisloft is one of four players that are affiliate players from the Pacers. Ben Bentil, Alex Poythress, and Juylan Stone are the other three.

Watford, meanwhile, is considered one of five returnees on the roster, as the Mad Ants acquired his rights through a trade during the 2015-16 season. Other returnees include Trey McKinney-Jones, Stephan Hicks, Marcus Simmons, and Anthony Walker.

The Ants open the 2016-17 season at Greensboro on Saturday, November 12. The home opener will be Sunday, November 20 at 5 p.m. vs. Sioux Falls.
