House catches fire second time in 8 hours

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fire crews were called out to the second fire at the same house in 8 hours early Monday.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 7300 block of Deerpointe Cove around 1:45 a.m. When they got to the neighborhood, they saw fire and smoke coming from the one-story house and attached garage.

While NewsChannel 15 was on the scene, flames were were coming from the home and garage and smoke could be seen a mile away.

Fire crews battled the blaze from the outside and from a ladder high above the fire.

Firefighters responded to the same home Sunday evening. In that incident, a small fire was contained to the living room and was out in a few minutes.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
