FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A woman reportedly robbed a bank on the city’s northeast side mid-morning Wednesday.
Fort Wayne Police were called just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to the Salin Bank at 6433 E. State Blvd., near Maplecrest Road in the Georgetown area. Dispatchers would only tell NewsChannel 15 that police were investigating a robbery there.
Police at the scene told NewsChannel 15 that a white woman – 20-40 years old – came into the bank with her face covered by a scarf and demanded cash. She ran off with an “undisclosed” amount of cash, but police said it was a small amount of “petty cash” that was readily available.
Police said she did not have a gun. Nobody was hurt in the incident, police said.
The bank was expected to reopened later Wednesday, police said.
