FWPD: ‘Spice’ search warrants net 8 arrests

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Eight people are facing multiple drug-related charges after the Fort Wayne Police Department Vice and Narcotics units served search warrants at two addresses.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, officers served warrants at a home in the 1900 block of Cherokee Road and another home in the 700 block of High Street.

The warrants were served in connection with the sale and distribution of ‘spice’ or synthetic cannabinoids, according to FWPD Sergeant Mark Brooks.

Eight people are now facing multiple charges:

Cherokee:

  • Jeremy Conley
    • dealing of a synthetic or look-a-like substance
    • maintaining a common nuisance
    • possession of paraphernalia
    • invasion of privacy
  • Casey Langston
    • maintaining a common nuisance

High

  • Aaron Norman
    • maintaining a common nuisance
  • Angela Norvell-Shicks
    • maintaining a common nuisance
    • possession of paraphernalia
  • David Norman
    • maintaining a common nuisance
  • Nathan Norman
    • resisting law enforcement
  • Zachary Foster
    • arrest warrant
    • resisting law enforcement
  • Jesse Almanza
    • arrest warrant

The FWPD Emergency Services Team assisted with the execution of the search warrants. No information was made available.

Both cases remain under investigation.
