Woman hospitalized after highway crash with horse

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A Bristol woman was hospitalized early Tuesday after crashing her car into a horse along U.S. 20 in LaGrange County.

Police and medics were called just before 3 a.m. Tuesday to an address at 5190 W. U.S. 20 on a report of a crash with a horse there. Police said 33-year-old Rebecca A. Kemp of Bristol struck the horse in her 2008 Mercury Milan.

The sedan sustained heavy damage throughout, according to a report. The horse was killed.

Bristol was taken to Parkview LaGrange with head injuries.

It’s not clear who the horse belonged to or why it was in the roadway.
